أسباب عزوف طلبة جامعة القدس عن دراسة العلوم من وجهة نظرهم

الملخص
هدفت هذه الدراسة تقصي أسباب عزوف الطلبة عن الالتحاق بتخصصات العلوم في كلية العلوم والتكنولوجيا في جامعة القدس/ فلسطين، من العام الأكاديمي 2019/2020 وقد تكّون مجتمع الدراسة من طلبة السنة الأولى في الكليات العلمية باستثناء طلبة كلية العلوم والتكنولوجيا من خريجي الثانوية العامة في الفرع العلمي ممن يحققون شروط الالتحاق بالتخصصات العلمية التي تطرحها الكلية وهي الفيزياء والرياضيات والكيمياء والأحياء وعلوم الأرض التطبيقية والبيئة، والبالغ عددهم (1000) طالباً وطالبة. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (100) طالبا وطالبة وتم اختيارهم بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدم المنهج الوصفي وذلك لملاءمته لطبيعة هذه الدراسة. وصمم الباحثون استبانة تقيس أسباب عزوف الطلاب عن الالتحاق بتخصصات كلية العلوم والتكنولوجيا، تكونت من (25) فقرةُ، موزعة في خمسة مجالات، وقد تم التحقق من صدق أداة الدراسة وثباتها، بلغ معامل الثبات (0.93). وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن استجابة الطلاب على المجال الأول (صعوبة الدراسة في التخصصات العلمية) حصلت على أعلى نسبة قبول إذ بلغت النسبة المئوية الكلية للمجال (76.67%)، بينما حل المجال الرابع (أسباب تتعلق بميول الطالب ورغباته) خامساً في الترتيب بنسبة قبول كلية بلغت (53.65%). وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود تباين في وجهات نظر طلبة جامعة القدس في أسباب عزوفهم عن الالتحاق بتخصصات العلوم، وفقاً لمتغيرات الدراسة (الجنس ومكان السكن).

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the reasons for students’ reluctance to enroll in science majors at the College of Science and Technology at Al-Quds University / Palestine, from the academic year 2019/2020. The study population consisted of first-year students in scientific colleges, with the exception of students from the College of Science and Technology who graduated from high school in the scientific branch Those who fulfill the conditions for joining the scientific disciplines offered by the college, which are physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, applied earth sciences and the environment, and their number is (1000) male and female students. The study sample consisted of (100) male and female students, and they were chosen by the stratified random method. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used, due to its relevance to the nature of this study. The researchers designed a questionnaire that measures the reasons for students' reluctance to enroll in the majors of the College of Science and Technology. It consisted of (25) items, distributed in five areas. The validity and reliability of the study tool were verified, with a reliability coefficient of (0.93). The results of the study showed that the students’ response to the first field (the difficulty of studying in scientific disciplines) obtained the highest acceptance rate, as the total percentage of the field reached (76.67%), while the fourth field (reasons related to the student’s inclinations and desires) came fifth in the order with a total acceptance rate of (53.65%). The results of the study showed that there was no discrepancy in the views of Al-Quds University students in the reasons for their reluctance to enroll in science majors, according to the study variables (gender and place of residence).
